Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived into a musical family, 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is a cousin and daughter of the singer Dionne. Her mother and she began singing professionally at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when Whitney was only fifteen years old. The two sang backing vocals on Chaka Khan's track in 1978 Im Every Woman. Then, she performed background vocals for Jermaine Jackson and Lou Rawls as well as her mom. Beginning in 1981, she started working as a singer in the New York funk group Material. The band's quality vocal performance of this group that attracted interest of recording labels such as Arista. It is The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the most successful artists in history. Though the movie was not well-received and neither did her performance, but the soundtrack to the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the number one spot on both the singles and album charts in the United States for months. The album sold over 44 million copies. Their daughter Bobbi was born in March in 1993. This was the year she got married to Bobby Brown. In 1996, her drug usage was well documented.
Dana Bash, also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American anchorwoman and journalist. She works as a political correspondent at CNN.
