Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived to a musical family 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin of the singer Dionne. When she was a kid she performed in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. At the age of she reached the age of 15, Houston had sung professionally backing vocals with her mother in Chaka Khan's 1978 song Im Every Woman. She then went on to perform backing vocals for Lou Rawls, Jermaine, and her mother. The singer began her career as a lead vocalist with the funk group from New York, Material in the year 1981. It was this quality of her singing together that brought the attention of several major record companies, such as Arista with whom she signed in 1983. This is where she was for the rest the duration of her career. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It would become one of the best-selling albums of an artist. Several hit singles including the hit songs Saving All My Love For You How Do I know That You Love Me as well as The Most Beautiful Love of All were released on the album. It brought her first of her six Grammy Awards. The Whitney sequel in 1987, featuring the singles How Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her debut album. But it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her position as one of the world's most loved performers. The movie and her role in it was not appreciated, but the music and her interpretation to Dolly's I Will Always Love You was a hit for a few months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums across the globe. In the same year she gave birth to her daughter Bobbi, Brown married Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. Around this time that her widely documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was a daily drug user.
Dana Bash, also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American journalist and anchorwoman who works as a political correspondent at CNN. She has produced shows for the network such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'. Bash was awarded many times and was included at the top of the Women in Washington Power List published by Elle magazine. She is known to have remarkable anchoring skills and her reporting abilities are loved by the younger journalists. Her one child is her greatest joy in life.
