Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinctive mix of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. Avery Sunshine's work has led her across Broadway to European events and clubs, to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given name is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at church. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan; it has since been remixed by numerous producers and is the mainstay of her live set. She has also contributed her voice to the music of The Fighting Temptations. The band was hired as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the director of the choral group for the stage production. Sunshine was noticed by America during the daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
